@thisismoney: Tuscany is offering people up to ยฃ27,000 (โฌ30,000) to move there as part of a scheme aimed at bringing new life to its smaller mountain towns. The program offers grants to help cover the cost of buying and renovating homes in nearly 120 villages across the region, where populations have been shrinking for years. The catch? You have to commit to living there, and the funding can only cover up to 50% of the property and renovation costs. Dreaming of a Tuscan countryside life might have just got a little more realistic ๐ท๐ก

There are important conditions:
You must buy and renovate a home in one of the eligible small towns.
The grant covers up to 50% of the purchase and renovation costs, not the full amount.
You must make the property your main residence.
Eligibility rules apply. The original scheme was mainly for Italian citizens, EU citizens, or certain non-EU residents with long-term Italian residence permits.

So, it's not simply "move there and get ยฃ27,000." The money is a housing grant with specific requirements.
