I was in the first year sitting the junior cert in 1992 I got 2 fs and it hasn't held me back I never did the leaving cert , but u am sorry I never got in to a trade at a young age , its important to try these routes if college us not for you ,

I did a terrible Junior and Leaving cert. Messed around the place for a few years. Went to college as a mature student and now I am a Manager in a Multinational. There's loads of different paths to get where you want to get.

It's not a one size fits all. I was in college til I was 23 and to be honest, if I was to do ot again I would probably do a trade and some add on courses.
