It’s such a great commentary on literally everything. I remember waking up so ready to get back into it. When I finished it, I sat with myself for a long time and just kept asking myself, “What did I just read?”

I loved the book too! The twist got me, I didn’t see it coming and so glad I didn’t. There were so many little heartbreaks in this story. Like Caleb wanting to be a kindergarten teacher but Natalie discouraging him! 😭 All the financial abuse Natalie went through. Natalie’s postpartum depression. All of it was just so great.

I read the first two thirds over a couple days. I read the last third in one sitting and kept gasping out loud. It’s so twisty and so good, and I really feel that she did a good job trusting the reader to infer the social commentary and land it themself 😊
