Yes! My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer when I was 12. Back in 2012. She passed in 2018. First thing she said when she got diagnosed, “I just want to be surrounded by my children, husband, and immediate family.” She sold her convertible, she stopped caring about what others thought. She just lived.

true to a certain extent, but I will say from caring for my mam, the income is important because being able to supplement the support and care that is available makes a real difference both to the person needing the care and the family trying to support them

I watched my dad die, I almost died of cancer and this is so true. Thankfully I had a wonderful support system. I just wanted to make it to today. My bank account, my job, nothing else mattered. I changed the way I love now. I don't put things off.
