@fox4newsdallasfortworth: A dog was rescued by emergency crews after becoming stuck 13 levels above ground, wedged between a window and a window louvre outside a high-rise apartment in Sydney, New South Wales, on Monday, April 27. The two-year-old Jack Russell named Elbie went missing from her home on Saturday, and was discovered by a neighbor with a drone two days later after Elbie’s owner appealed to the local community for help. The fire department was called to the site and rescued Elbie from her predicament using vertical rescue equipment. “He was a little bit stuck, it took me a while to get him out, he was stuck in between the awning up there, but he was calm which helped a lot,” Joel Spillane, the firefighter who freed Elbie, told 9News. Video filmed by Lachlan Peknice shows the moment of rescue and the crowd, who had been observing the ordeal from the ground, erupting in cheer as Elbie was handed to her owners.
