The Euro plug is indeed significantly safer. It is held in the socket by clamps, and instead of a plastic pin, this pin is made of metal and serves as a protective conductor in case of a fault current.

First if all. Most Euro plugs have metal pin that also serves as ground and prevents from ripping out. Second of all, why TF would I want a switch for my outlet

Wtf do you mean no safety on the eu one, the metal thing around it is the earth. The also used for inward sockets(shuko). And btw thats not an american one, its a 2 leg socket for lamps and other stuff that dont need a ground.

That is NOT an American plug. We use parallel blade plugs. We also use a three prong with a grounding pin. The first two you showed are European plugs, the second one is a grounded plug. P.S. I sleep quite well.

why instead of doing research you upload misleading information, the UK plug longest pin is not purely for safety, if an appliance is made from conductive material the pin is metal and used for earth (ground)..
