When I was travelling on my South African passport my Swiss husband would never leave my side (passport in hand) and that got me through passport control much faster on multiple occasions.

My ex used to taunt and wave his second nationality passport while walking to the shorter line, as I had to go to the non EU line. Up until this moment I didn’t register this as a grouse behavior. Idiot worm

You can pass immigration together in any country because you are married/a family. No need to go through different lanes. Just tell them you are together and staff will tell you which lane for both (usually the one that has more security but they can process both entries)
