Unlucky :
What’s interesting about most witch trials around that time period, is that they happen at times when there is low governance. All of the East Anglian Witch Trials were able to occur, because Hopkins and Stern were fanning the flames in round head aligned areas, exploiting the fact that Puritans are spiritual nutcases and the fact most Lords who usually handled criminal trials were away at war. Another example of this being the Salem Witch Trials, that occurred due to hyper puritan communities, low governance due to war and rampant fear, because of said war. It’s almost as if when there’s low governance, rampant fear, religious tension and any amount of hardship, they would crack and blame witches.
