Clearly he did not hear about the time the French liberated the USA from the English kingdom, with a little help from a few Americans. So there is no reason for people to protest King Charles, but there is plenty of reason to protest against a government infringing on your rights. I think it's the name of the protests that confused them, it is a long four letter word.
