@mightyyyymouse: Nobody talks about this one. You’re in the middle of an argument and he says it. “Okay. Give me one example.” And just like that — your mind goes completely blank. You know the pattern. You know how it felt. You know it has happened a hundred times. But in that exact moment, you can’t pull a single clean example out of your head. Not one. That doesn’t mean you’re lying. It doesn’t mean you imagined it. It absolutely doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. It means you just walked into the trap. Because that question isn’t a real question. It’s a tactic. He just dragged you into a courtroom you never agreed to enter. He’s demanding receipts while you’re already shaking, already crying, already in fight or flight. And the part of your brain that pulls up specific memories? It doesn’t work the same way when your nervous system thinks it’s about to get hit. He knows that. They all know that. The whole point is to flip it. Force you to produce one perfect example, and the second you stumble, suddenly you’re the unstable one. The dramatic one. The one “making things up again.” The harm isn’t in the question. The harm is the ambush. You’re being asked to defend yourself with evidence while you’re exhausted, gaslit, doubting your own memory, and fighting just to keep your voice steady. That’s why it always happens later. Three hours later. Two days later. In the shower. In the car. The examples come flooding back the second your body finally feels safe enough to remember. If you can’t recall details in the heat of an argument with someone who constantly denies your reality That isn’t a flaw in you. That’s a body telling you the truth about how unsafe this dynamic actually is. If this sounded like I was reading from your own story Message me RESET and I’ll show you how I’ve helped over 7,300 women break free from this exact dynamic for good. Not therapy. Not “communicate better.” Not another book about narcissists. Because the next time he asks you for one example, I want you to know “in your bones” that you don’t owe him a single one. #Love #fyp #viral #narcissist #narcissism

so you mean, when I am saying what I feel about what was done to me and I hear : "You do the same all.the time" and I say give me an example of when I did this ( because I never did)... I am the narcissist?

I got so used to this question, I had examples ready before the conversation happened so I wouldn’t forget them in the moment. I came prepared with receipts. I wouldn’t bring something up unless I could prove it. Unfortunately, that’s now how I approach most uncomfortable conversations even with safe people.

Even if you come with one example, the next question will always be "when did that happen". And when you can tell them when it happen, the next comment will be "but that was the only time.... you do x, y, z all the time"

Ummmmmmm no lol I think it’s good to ask for an example so you can understand how to reflect and correct if need be. Sometimes we have blindspots we need ti be aware of. This is not accurate dude.
