And treating everyone who has thought about it as if they are in the brink of doing it makes them less likely to come forward. People have to feel safe to acknowledge their feelings.

I think there needs to be so much more spoken about suicidal ideation, I've only as an adult and through social media discovered it wasn't a "me" thing, its a real thing.

I've had three welfare checks each time from a family member who wouldn't call me. I refuse to do this to clients or anyone in my life. It's so damaging!
