I had night terrors growing up and if it helps I don’t remember them all, I just know what my family tells me.

If you gave her medicine that causes drowsiness or flu medicine sometimes it causes nightmares in my kids. It happened to me as a kid the only way I can describe is like in the dreams you go to level you’re not supposed to be in as a child. And you see very scary things but it always only happened to me when I was sick! Still happens to me as an adult

that kind of moment stays with you 😔 motherhood can get scary so fast and no one really prepares you for it… I remember feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, emotions all over the place after stuff like that. nothing I tried really helped and I felt stuck for a while. then another mom in a womens group mentioned Eat Like a Woman Protocol by Loren Green and I tried it… energy slowly came back, I finally felt like myself again. my favourite one tbh

Some triggers for night terrors: Some PM medications for fevers talk to your doctor, most common is over tiredness, sweating is my trigger still to this day as an adult, having to pee (this is rare) most kids wet the bed instead bc their brain doesn’t wake them.

Look into parasomnia.
I have it and this would happen OFTEN to me as a child and since im 26 now, it shows up in different ways.

My child sees a sleep psych dr for insomnia and parasomnia! She said to NOT interfere at all or touch a person during a night terror cuz it makes them worse. Hardest thing to do is just sit near by and tell him I’m here and he’s safe 😭

A little girl I used to babysit had night terrors. I thankfully only experienced a couple instances with her but omg it was absolutely terrifying. Her parents limited a lot of media she consumed, as well as sugar and dyes from her diet which they said seemed to help. She eventually grew out of them, she’s 17 now, but it’s so tough! I hope you are able to find things that will help your daughter.
