Thank you for this joypost on season 3 Cree. I was genuinely getting tired of seeing people hating on Season 3 and hating on zzz for little to no reason. I genuinely like most of the characters designs like Claret, Velina, Remielle, and Storyteller. Yes I understand that Sunbringer’s first design is better but we haven’t seen everything from Sunbringer yet and I also believe that they changed Sunbringer’s looks a bit because she’s a lot more older in trailer since most of the lore stuff in the void hunter trailer happened a lot time ago before new eridu and people change as they get older yk. So I genuinely appreciate this 🙏

I really love all the designs but the love for it is so overshadowed by sunbringer for me. but the storytellers shoes are genuinely so sick and it’s one of my fav designs that zzz has made. Sun bringer for me has such a poor execution of what her character is meant to symbolise, someone so strong with noodle arms is just so beyond disappointing, they even took away her cool horns. Definitley better than 2.X imo.

We all saw Velina and Norma in 2.7 I thought it was pretty obvious the direction they were taking with the 3.0 designs being more the european-fantasy aesthetic! So I’m so confused why everyone is tweaking about the 3.0 characters LOL

The designs look good, but they look more like stock anime characters. They lack the zzz vibe. Season 2 gets a lot of shit for not being like 1.0 designs but all the characters still felt like they belonged in zenless. I’m really hoping it’s just the trailer art style and that the in game models and animations make the characters look better.

I dont outright hate the season 3 designs but a lot of them feel more generically hoyo imo the season 1 and 2 designs have a unique style that helps differentiate zzz from other hoyo games I am really excited for the story and environment of season 3 though

I see both sides of the argument. While I am disappointed at the lack of diversity in the roster that we’ve seen so far I really didn’t think any of them looked bad other than sunbringer. Roxy, Claret, The Storyteller, and severian all look great and I’m sure we’ll see more of the cast as it progresses. What’s making me mad is how everyone is handling it. Instead of waiting to see how it turns out everyone is either basely slandering zenless or dismissing any valid criticisms of the game. I love ZZZ it’s one of my favorite games I’ve played and I want it to succeed but the lack of nuance in both its community and other gachas is extremely frustrating

s3 definitely is hype tho I will say I do hope sunbringer's model ends up more like what we first saw. I loved the cape aesthetic and her general imposing and intimidating look. though dont know enough about her as you say to really know yet

I love almost all the new designs except the obvious inappropriate attire on Norma and personally I enjoyed the dignified look of old Sunbringer, but that's just my opinion and it doesn't have to be the same as everyone elses
