we recently drove from California to Minnesota and I was SHOCKED how low the CO River was, most of the states (CO, NB, IA) were so dry! and last early winter we drove NM, where the hell did the Rio grande go??!!! it's scary 😒

this is so bad. and it's not just in the west! Corpus Christi, TX, parts of GA, WV and more are also dealing with severe drought issues! New Orleans is also in a drought as far as rainfall, but we're doing ok with water only because it comes from the Mississippi River.
my point is the entire country, and lots of other countries too, had got to reign in thw amount of water corporations are allowed to use!

Hey I did talk about this to my AK science students in 2002 when I was teaching them about STUPID DAMS. They would ask me why would America be so dumb as to allow for the Colorado to be litterally DUMPED into the Desert of the West, especially when CLIMATE CHANGE (23 yrs ago) would make drought more likely. I said “I don’t know!”
