@orpatchy: try brushing your cat with a wet toothbrush! The theory behind this is that the bristles remind them of how their Mum’s rough tongue would feel when she groomed them as a kitten. Mimicking that feeling with the toothbrush is said to induce a euphoric, calming sensation which makes them feel safe and relaxed. I don’t if this has made my cats feel safe and relaxed, but it’s making me want to burst into tears. So uh… be sure to follow for more hard hitting scientific experiments. #cat #cats
