Worship Is for Your Benefit, Not Allah's. Many people think that their worship makes Allah indebted to them. But the reality is the opposite. Muhammad Hoblos reminds us that Allah ﷻ does not need our salah, fasting, dhikr, charity, or any of our good deeds. It is we who are completely dependent on Him. Allah ﷻ says:
Worship Is for Your Benefit, Not Allah's. Many people think that their worship makes Allah indebted to them. But the reality is the opposite. Allah ﷻ says: "O mankind, you are those in need of Allah, whereas Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy." (Surah Fatir 35:15) Every prayer we perform, every fast we keep, every charity we give, and every act of worship benefits us—not Allah. We should worship Him with humility, gratitude, and sincerity, knowing that everything we have is from Him. May Allah accept our worship, forgive our shortcomings, and keep us humble before Him.
