just a bit of a tip, because they are known for cats being blocked, unbolt the exhaust from the down pipe and take it for another run and see if it picks up more speed. the petrol surfs have decent power normally. either that or you've potentially got some of the vaccum lines either leaking or around the wrong way. could also be a blocked air filter from sitting as they have the air intake come in from the wheel well. the 2lte (2.4 turbo diesel) have similar issues, normally a snorkel fixes the air flow issue
