@jack_ofalljourneys: Least discrete town name ever… 🇮🇳 📍Fort Kochi, Kerala. Inside Kerala you’ll find a place funnily enough named Jew town, but where have they all gone? This area is officially known as Mattancherry inside Fort Kochi & honestly it’s a pretty beautiful neighbourhood filled with antiques stores & spice shops. However it won’t take you long to notice all the Stars around… (& obviously the giant synagogue) however you’ll be pretty struggled to find someone actually belonging to this community… That’s because in 1948 there was a mass migration to Israel leaving primarily only the old & young members of the community who didn’t want to make the relocation. The Paradesi community now supposedly only has one member - who you’ll probably never see. That being said the area is now a popular tourist destination which is worth checking out not just for its unique history.
