I’m tired of not being understood. “Why didn’t she just leave” Is the wrong question Exploitation doesn’t start with chains. It starts with conditioning. Trust is built… then broken. Fear is introduced… then relieved. And the same person becomes both the harm and the only place the harm stops. That’s not love. That’s control wired into the nervous system. And in cases of trafficking and exploitation— that psychological hold is often the point. A body can run. But a mind that’s been conditioned to believe it needs its captor to survive? That’s captivity most people will never understand.
