Growing up I figured my mom wanted me to have a full wedding but I was dragging feet because of the planning and she proposed I eloped. I looked her dead in the eye and said “that’s an opinion!” (She of course went to the court house for the wedding 😁)

my parents planned a big wedding for 500-700 people 😭 then the pandemic hit and we did small one 30 people as me and my husband always wished for 😆 and it was Doctor Who themed as we wished too

When i told family we wanted to elope with no one there and then have a reception with everyone there they thought it wouldn't be as special, but afterwards everyone loved it. Do what feels right for you and the rest falls in line.

As a Vietnamese, i gotta admit it's can be a nightmare sometime, my mom literally have a whole notebook just to memorize with guest came to my sister's wedding so she can pay it back 😭

as siblings of sea. We have the same tradition in Indonesia, I feel very strange like we do wedding ceremony for three days in a row for parents' friends as gen z I think many people nowdays want to stop this kind of traditions
