Temple bells like this are not rung with a clapper, instead, they are struck from the outside using a suspended wooden beam. Beyond its physical presence, the bell holds deep spiritual meaning. In Buddhist tradition, bells are rung to mark the passage of time, call monks to prayer, and symbolise the removal of worldly desires.
