@jessefunstuff: Our @costco secrets for parents 🤫👇 1. Find the banana bundles in packs of 10, not 7, 8, or 9. 2. Frozen chicken is cheaper. It's all GMO anyways 3. Let kids have a snack while you shop. No snack = 🤯 I'll save some secrets for our next Costco run :) @katiamoncur

Sensing the tension, Miu decided to step in to ease the atmosphere. She wanted to unwind a bit and ease the growing strain in their circle, well, actually, specifically between Bam and Oom. "Hey, guys," Miu chimed in smoothly, clapping her hands together with a gentle, cheerful smile. "The rain isn't letting up anytime soon, and campus is closing up. Why don't we all grab an early dinner together? My treat." "Oh, count me in!" Athena declared immediately, raising her hand. "I am starving. PE completely drained me." "I'm fine with whatever," Hera added, taking a quick glance at Oom before looking back at Miu. "As long as it's somewhere warm." "What about you two?" Miu asked, turning her gaze between Bam and Oom. Oom blinked, slipping her phone back into her pocket. She glanced at Hera, who gave her a subtle nudging look, before offering a light, casual shrug. "I mean, I never say no to food. Where are we going?" "There's that cozy, rustic Italian bistro just two blocks from campus," Lena suggested warmly, slinging an arm around Miu's waist. "It's super close." Bam looked at Miu, caught Oom's brief, guarded glance, and quietly gave a subtle nod. "That's fine with me." So before anyone could split up to head home in the downpour, Miu led everyone towards to the restaurant. The restaurant was warm and lit by soft amber lanterns, filled with the comforting aroma of baked cheese and basil. They took a large booth near the back. Oom slid into the booth opposite Bam. For the most part, Oom remained remarkably quiet, leaning back against the leather seat and staring absently at the candle flame in the center of the table, lost deep in her thoughts. Her usual radiant, chaotic energy was distinctly subdued, a quiet shadow hanging over her usual charm. "Look at Oom," Athena teased playfully, nudging Hera across the table. "She's so quiet. Did the rain wash away your mouth, Oom?" Oom snapped out of her trance, a small, easy smirk tugging at the corner of her lips as she leaned her chin on her hand. "Please, Athena. I’m giving my voice a rest so the rest of you actually have a turn to speak. You should be thanking me." "Oh, so it's a public service now?" Hera laughed, raising an eyebrow. "Exactly," Oom chimed in smoothly, glancing briefly toward Bam with a fleeting, subdued smirk. "Besides, if I talk too much, certain people might accuse me of haunting the room." Bam looked up from her glass of water, her dark eyes meeting Oom's gaze. "I didn't say you haunted the room, Miss Eisaya." "No, just the library," Oom teased back lightly, though her tone lacked the aggressive, flirtatious spark of yesterday. "A much more intellectual place to haunt, really." When the waiter placed a bowl of complimentary chopped house salad in the center of the table, Oom instinctively reached over with her fork and picked out every single leaf of lettuce, piling them onto Lena's side plate so she could just eat the cherry tomatoes and croutons. "Oom doesn't eat leaves," Miu noted offhandedly with a light chuckle as she adjusted her napkin. "What?" Bam asked, her dark eyes snapping up to Miu as if she had just heard something completely outrageous and fundamentally wrong. She stared at Oom’s plate with a subtle, disbelieving tilt of her head. "You don't eat leaves? It's a salad. It's eighty percent leaves." "I eat what I like, Saralee," Oom retorted smoothly, flashing a brief, teasing smirk, though her tone lacked its usual bite. "Vegetables are grass. I am a delicate human, not a cow." "And, Stop talking about me, Miu," Oom added, giving Miu a playful glare across the table to steer the attention away, still trying her best to keep the mood light while secretly holding back the exhaustion weighting down her chest. #oomeisaya #bamsaralee #oombam #austory #aurecommendation
