Just be careful with the tiles. They look like wall tiles and will probably crack very easily once being walked over

Did you get any help at the tile shop? They look like decorative wall tiles, so not suitable for floors, especially the front door that will get wet underfoot. They will be dangerous and won’t be strong enough to be walked on!

The paint reacted with the sugar soap. I know it seems counter productive but you need to wash the sugar soap off with clean water

yes there is more important things you could be doing BUT this is one of the jobs that can be quick and more easy then a lot of your other jobs-the smaller jobs can make the biggest difference xx

It’s because your skirting bored paint is a gloss paint not like the paint you used on the other part of the door

Do you know what the base of the original paint is? Ie: water or oil? I think you have to use the same type of paint so if the OG is oil based and you’re using a water based for the new stuff it’ll separate

If the paint is water based but the old paint is oil based they wouldn’t stick 🙈 not sure if that’s the case but I always remember being told to go for oil based to be sure for instances like this xx
