@frazfinance: More Info👇 What’s happening in the stock market today? 📈 The S&P 500, Dow and Nasdaq are all green today as the US-Iran ceasefire continues to hold and oil prices drop over 4%. Earnings season is also doing its job with Pinterest up 15% and Tyson Foods beating expectations. Investors are feeling confident again. But not everything is green. The FTSE 100 is down almost 2% today and personally I think that’s a discount worth watching. The reason it’s red while America is green comes down to three things. First, the London Stock Exchange was closed yesterday for the bank holiday so today it’s playing catch up on all the bad news from Monday. Second, HSBC dropped 6% after missing earnings expectations and dragging the entire UK banking sector down with it including Lloyds, NatWest and Barclays. Third, UK gilt yields are at their highest level in over 30 years which puts pressure on UK stocks generally. So while everyone is celebrating green candles in America, there might be a buying opportunity sitting right here at home.
