People need to stop assuming that parents aren’t doing everything they can do to get their child the proper help that they need. As the grandparent of a special needs child, I can assure you that my daughter and her husband are doing everything that they can do to get their son, the proper help and treatment and dedicate the time and effort to raise their son the correct way. We never know when a child is born what they may be born with.. All we can do is love, take care of them to the best of our ability.

Oh this been going on for years since a kid. I work psych and I see this a lot! In adolescence and adults. And the parents are the main enablers then when they can’t handle it anymore they dump them to facilities when they could’ve corrected the behavior and did early intervention as a child so it doesn’t morph into this
