I was fine after three alcoholic drinks on an empty stomach—no slurred speech and no facial flushing. I remember thinking, "Is this normal?" I'm sure I must have been affected to some degree, but it certainly didn't feel like it. Eventually, I just got bored with the experience and slowly lost interest in drinking.
