My experience is they disclose a lot of front but it’s all events from the past and controlled information so it gives the guise of being open. Not the same thing about talking about things are are currently impacting them.

Have to work with him and see him everyday. 😬 Silent treatment for 2 months (no communication, walking past me like I'm a ghost for weeks, no eye contact, left the room if I walked in - hard to explain what I went through, wrecked my nervous system completely). I finally got better, accepted the situation...he came back with a question about Harry Potter like nothing happened. 😅 Had a TOUGH conversation with him, because I couldn't just let him rewrite this like 'lets move on' without adressing this whole thing and how much it hurt me. Said sorry, seemed genuinely remorseful and asked if he can give me a hug..just to distance himself again 4 days after the conversation and back to silent treatment. This attitude will give you whiplash and it's not okay!

Thank you for saying a relationship is helpful or necessary cause so many say avoidants “need to heal first” and first that’s just not realistic and second if they care about each other they will actually start looking inward!
