The pink part of eyes (lacrimal caruncle) originally was a third eyelid but humans no longer need it so its evolved into being barely there now and not a full eyelid anymore. (Still has uses though, gives the eye moisture f.e)

oh yeah, had a module on this recently... Birds have more neck bones than we do. and more variability. mammals generally have 7 with some variation, but birds? birds are lawless. I couldn't tell you why, I just know that that's the case and I hate it.

same for our hands, most creatures have basically the same hand bones as us, just stretched or shrunk to suit the use case. (this includes birds and their wings btw, pretty sure they have either a really long index or middle finger, idk though)
