I feel very similar to you right now so many emotions come with the 1 year coming up and realizing what you have been through and most people don't have interest in hearing your story and your just suppose to be OK and move on I feel your pain so much! I wish others did too its hard to keep up the strength some days thanks for sharing

Aww Claire, I’m sorry. Our timelines are roughly the same, plus I had a right side Mx, with chemo, radio, and now on Zoladex, AI, targeted therapy and bone strengtheners. It’s only now that the harsh reality is hitting, and it’s hard 😩 Like you, I’m ok, but mentally and emotionally exhausted. So I hear you. Sending you all the love, strength and good wishes ❤️This is a heck of a fight, we’re weary and battle scarred, but we’ve got this 💪🏼🫶 x

I feel like my body has aged too soon. I’ve just finished 6months of treatment and surgery for bowel cancer first surveillance scan tomorrow aches and pains I didn’t have prior to diagnosis. Finding this bit tough . Xx

Totally relate yo you. Thanks for posting these videos as I am glad it isn’t just me. Everyone says early days but feels like a lifetime of having cancer and like you said my body won’t let it do what I used to do.

I was just like that when I finished treatment. it took a long time for me to grieve the person I used to be and accept the version of me I had become. The anxiety around certain dates is awful. Time is a great healer though and the emotional distance allowed me to come to terms with a lot of what I went through. Be kind to yourself. This part of the journey is tough but it's a chapter and won't last forever.

I'm with you on this, I absolutely underestimated how challenging it was coming out of active treatment & the toll it takes. I also am struggling with accepting this is my new normal & can't be or do what I used to. No one prepares you for how hard this part can be 😳

I see this with my sister after her breast cancer journey, she said she isn’t the same person and I see with every pain she worries. I totally agree, this is not talked about enough. Sending huge hugs 🤗🥰

My Mel said the same.. when you are having treatment it’s so busy and intense, when it’s over the comedown mentally struggling and physically hurting she said was so much worse.. She also said she misses who she used to be x

I’m feeling the same….. it’s a year on Thursday when I heard those words 😢😢😢 I’ve also been on phone to BCN today as the cording in my arm is debilitating and my cancer boob is so painful it feels hard but they don’t seem worried. My brain is worried xxx
