In 2023, within a five year, 300 officers were reported for rape (that isn’t to take into account camera footage coincidentally shutting off or some other unknown circumstances such such threats and intimidation) and 500 were reported SA. That means out of 1,825 days, 800 incidences happened. That means every day 2-3 assaults happen to a woman. 28, 765 people are arrested daily nationwide. 7,500-8,000 women are arrested daily. That is nationwide! In Riley County alone, it is said that there are at least 5 arrests per day. It is about 2 and under for those to be female. That means the equivalent of those assaults would be our women arrested daily here in Riley County, my town is the depiction of the statistic and that’s just of those reported. That means every woman getting arrested is being sexually assaulted if mathematical layman terms. If that isn’t enough to make you want to learn to defend yourself, I do not know what is. Now, I’m not saying police violence is good. At some point you must learn to defend yourself and your body as well as family. At the end of the day the person wearing a badge is just like you and I. They just passed a requirement to obtain items that some shouldn’t have, it doesn’t change the shadow they contain or demons they wrestle. That is a sad reality that a rotten bunch can spoil the whole group. There’s also circumstance where people that unalive others come in the form of a trusting member of the community. People with evil in their hearts get in positions where they can commit evil and be okay with it but play good guy to detour detection. The world isn’t becoming anymore sane and that is a sad fact. If someone isn’t a threat to the community and is an abuse survivor but you continue to keep laying hands on them, you are putting that person is fight or flight, you cannot ask them to keep allowing you to harm them even when they are not resisting and being compliant. I won’t touch on more brutality, because the numbers are large, but this needs to stop. Trying to set people up for crimes or try to get another off their charges by coming after another, needs to stop. We are given one life and one body. Save the bullshit for the actual criminals who intend to harm! Stop destroying the relationship dynamic between civilian and cops. Trust is so important and rare. But once broken will take lifetimes to restore. Your first instinct as a cop should be to protect and serve as well as assess a situation appropriately and properly. Mistakes are one thing, a pattern is another. Trust can make or break a situation where a once victim would’ve handed over information but once the trust is broken it will no longer be given. You are never too safe. You can always make sure you and your babies come first. A badge isn’t an excuse to harm. Move accordingly. #fyp #foryoupage #facts #brutality #selfdefense
