What the video isn't telling you Five things break first in real builds: Memory is the actual hard problem. A flat memory.md file works for a demo, fails at scale. What gets written, when, by whom, and how it's pruned is where most of these systems quietly degrade. The agent starts contradicting its own past notes. Tools don't come from a "skills file" automatically. Each tool has to be explicitly wired — MCP server, function definition, or direct API. "Rack runs AWS" means Rack has a defined set of AWS CLI commands it's allowed to execute, not free-form intent. Agents lie about completing work. They say "I sent the email" when they didn't. You need verification steps, not just "submit to review". Cost discipline. Five always-on agents calling Claude on a cron is a $2-5k/month idle bill before they do anything useful. You need per-agent budget caps. Approval gates matter more than the video suggests. Quill running scheduled email approvals is fine until it sends something embarrassing on your behalf. Human-in-the-loop UI is part of the design, not an afterthought.
