For anyone curious his “cold air” intake is now a hot air intake bc it’s sitting in the engine bay taking in well, hot air

No, the color of a cone air filter does not affect the performance or function of your cold air intake. Color is purely cosmetic, a stylistic preference for your engine bay, or simply an indicator of the type of dye used in the filter
