The jury that found Stefon Diggs not guilty today of strangling and assaulting his chef heard testimony from several defense witnesses who said they saw no bruising on the accuser or heard her say anything had happened. One witness was Xia Charles, a hairstylist who braids hair for celebrities. She started braiding Diggs' hair when he played for the Buffalo Bills, and she would travel to his home in Dedham, Massachusetts, for braiding sessions when he played for the New England Patriots last season. Charles met Adams through Diggs and they became friends, and Adams stayed with her in New York City after the alleged assault. They also spoke on FaceTime shortly after Adams said Diggs assaulted her, and Charles testified she say no bruises or other indications that Adams was hurt. Charles has a dash camera in her car. Diggs' lawyer Andrew Kettlewell, a partner at Silva Kettlewell & Pignatelli LLP in Boston, showed jurors video and images of Adams. "Did Ms. Adams ever tell you that she had been assaulted or strangled?" Kettlewell asked. "No," Charles answered. "Did she ever mention any kind of an attack?" Kettlewell asked. "No," Charles answered.
