![Il primo red carpet veneziano di Julia Roberts era tra i più attesi di questa 82ª edizione della Mostra Internazionale d'Arte Cinematografica organizzata dalla Biennale. In Laguna per presentare il nuovo film di Luca Guadagnino, After the Hunt, la diva hollywoodiana ha però scelto di sfoggiare un look sobrio, forse fin troppo. Per il tappeto rosso che ha preceduto la proiezione della pellicola, Julia ha infatti optato per un long dress blu navy di Versace by Dario Vitale, rappresentando di fatto non solo il suo debutto al Festival di Venezia ma anche quello della nuova direzione creativa della maison della medusa. Trattasi di un custom atelier Versace in crepe de chine, caratterizzato da un ricamo con motivo damier in seta nera, che contribuisce a conferire un senso di dinamismo tridimensionale all’abito. Un ricamo che ha visto l’impegno di ben 300 ore di lavoro. Un lavoro sartoriale sicuramente certosino per un abito ben fatto ma che purtroppo non ci convince. Forse per l'attrice dal sorriso più radioso del cinema ci saremmo aspettati qualcosa in più, soprattutto con indosso un abito del marchio simbolo del glamour e della seduzione nel mondo. E invece possiamo tranquillamente ammettere che siamo rimasti un po' delusi. This represent huge a sartorial work that is certainly a well-made dress but which unfortunately does not convince us. Perhaps, for the actress, we would have expected something more, especially by a brand that symbolizes glamor and seduction. And instead we can safely admit that we were a little disappointed.
