is everyone forgetting that lorelai owned her own inn...I think she had somewhat of a spotty income in the beginning but she also has horrific spending issues so she kinda make her self broke....later she very much had a stable income and was able to rely on her parents for a loan and payed them back....she went on many trips ans spent lots of money on events not just food... her income went up in the show she was not forever poor.
