@brianaksmith: It’s ok that you didn’t know that you were gay. It’s time to listen to what your body has been trying to tell you. I promise she’s not leading your towards harm. #lateinlifelesbian #comingout #lateinlifelesbiansupport #comingoutsupport #sexuality
I recently disclosed this to my therapist. I’m 36.

I appreciate this reassurance. I am still trying to figure out if sexually I’m bi but romantically have a preference for women… or if I’m just gay and still not able to fully wrap my head around it and accept what it means for my future. I lean towards the former, which makes it feel ever harder to navigate the path to leaving my marriage (harder to justify, esp with kids). We’ve discussed ethical non-monogamy, and in spirit he’s supportive but when the reality set in when I started experimenting, we both realized long term it would be too hard on him (he doesn’t want to be with other people). All of this just really triggers my deepest wounds: being misunderstood, feeling torn and confused, feeling like no matter what I choose people are hurt and everything is my fault. The limbo is torture 😭

Yes. Married for 25 years with eight children. I always thought I was bisexual. Now, I'm confident that I am lesbian. Thank you for saying this. I feel like I'm in lesbian kindergarten🥴

Did you get really ill during it? I feel I’m physically never going to recover. It’s been two years of emotional turmoil and now I’m so sick

I left my partner for many reasons outside of realizing my queerness, we were together for 10 years and had a one year old at the time together. After that whole year of post-partum, many issues and red flags that I was ignoring, it finally clicked for me that I was gay. The hardest part is my ex hating it and resenting me for it when I want a positive co-parenting relationship and my parents icing me out.. it’s been the hardest but most beautiful time. But this flipped my world upside down, I’m still reeling from it. I don’t know how to move forward when I feel I have one foot stuck in my old life and one foot begging to keep going..

I've just come out to my best friend and it went okay. was worried as he came out to me a while ago and didn't want him to think I was taking away from that or 'jumping on the bandwagon'. but he mentioned he assumed I was an ally (not sure how spell that) so I explained I'm not and it was okay

I've been out for 40 years. I suspected I was a lesbian in my teens. I went to church to pray the gay away. It didn't work. I kept getting crushes and feelings for girls, not guys. By the time I was 21 or 22, I had a choice to make. Live the lie and marry a man or accept who I am and come out. I chose to come out. I could not lie to myself and I knew I would not be happy with a man. I didn't fall in love until I was 27 years old, and it was with a woman. I never got feelings for any guy I dated. I cared about them, but I never fell in love with them. For me, it isn't just about sexual attraction, it is an emotional and spiritual connection. I only feel that for women. It takes courage to come out. It doesn't matter if you do it in your 20's or your 50's. I feel for you ladies in the comment section who are struggling with this. What made me to decide to come out in my 20's was, I accepted who I was, and could not live a lie. To thine one self self be true😊😊❤️❤️

it's time you ladies should think about yourself first for a change. once you triglycerides fall in love with a women, you will feel everything is totally worth it and much easier when you are in love. we all want to experience deep.meeningfull love before we pass at least once. doesn't matter if with a male or female, give your body and brain what it wants, you will find another level of love. that's the ultimate goal in life
