As a groomer, this is a comfort groom and in the dogs best interested. Absolutely Nothing wrong with it. Comfort over vanity , especially for senior dogs.

For anyone confused: Unfortunately, as we get older, our bodies just can’t regulate temperature as well. Just like when we were babies. So we might get cold easily. The same thing happens to our pups.. it just means they get hotter easily. That’s when we have to override their fur coat’s natural AC because it’s not working anymore. This pup is soooooo cute and much more comfortable 🥰

My senior dog LOVES getting shaved. Her hair doesn’t go back like it used to, but she turns into a puppy again when she get shaved and it warms my heart that she loves it so much

When it’s for health stuff like this I people need to be kinder about it. So what if the hair doesn’t grow back the same. I have to do the same for my Great Pyrenees and I think her well being is more important than her looks. Even then no matter what she looks like she’s my beautiful girl.
