My mom got me a ai gift for finishing my finals. What sucks is she KNOWS I don’t like ai and I’ve tried to teach her the signs of ai MULTIPLE TIMES but she still bought it. I’m also and art major so like we got levels of irony here.

my parents did the same thing!! Mind you, I’m a graphic designer. My job is actively in danger of not existing bc of AI. They couldn’t comprehend why I was not comfortable with obvious AI designs and acted like I was being ungrateful 😭

I was gifted a T-shirt from the company I work for that was covered in AI slop. I am a graphic designer and would have gladly made them a cool T-shirt for the team. I now use it as a rag to clean my desk. 😑

I was talking with a friend about commissioning an artist to get a specific kind of piece I wanted for my collection. He went “oh I can find that in a few minutes.” It took me a second to realize he was about to prompt an engine to generate the piece I wanted and I shouted at him in public to stop what he was doing. He knew I didn’t like it and I actively was trying to give money to an artist… yet somehow he was confused by my reaction?
