@coltenbarnaby: The pursuit of certainty and mastery through philosophy and apologetics is a fear response that alienates us from ourselves and each other. The mystics show us another way. #christiantiktok #theology #mystic #apologetics

i'd love to hear more of this tbh. I struggle with obsessive compulsive tendencies (idk if its ocd as im not diagnosed, but I suspect it) and I struggle with dissatisfaction in myself for not pouring more into understanding god and the world, and feeling like I can't really be certain about my beliefs. It'd definitely be nice to get that from a more immediate experiential practice rather than solely from studying

Will Ehrendreich :

Are you certain about that?

Mary :

Have you read Revelations of Divine Love?

Great post!

Brandy | YLH Tools & Data :

What helped me was reading the text the ancient way. Just the frameworks within the text. I think I’ll do a vid on this.

Joelle | Author Survivor Coach :

Losing your certainty is faith.

Darren Garvie160 :

what has saved me so far is realising the Christian house is huge with many rooms and different ideas. Theology is really just humans trying to work out who God is and what he means to us.

yt: crowbarology :

Reminds me of kirkegaard actually

Declan Eckhardt :

@Colten Barnaby What is the first step Biblically to be in right standing with God?
