More prone to injury with the hand positioning but many people use it so 🤷‍♂️

Just use you thumb and pointing finger to provide a fulcrum for the stick and then use the remaining fingers to push the stick back down after the recoil of the hit almost as if you were making a fist a fast as you can. If you do it right you don’t even have to move your wrist…
