obviously no one can EVER top Tim Curry, but I like that Luke’s performance feels like it honors Tim’s & his legacy without trying to be a carbon-copy caricature. it’s subtle homage while making it his own. could certain stylistic choices be adjusted? sure. it’s just always fun to see how artists interpret characters differently, especially between stage & film. idk i’m enjoying the fact it’s getting attention, sparking discussion, & maybe introducing a new audience who will fall in love with the show & its history!
