Our inclusive / self contained classroom does a coffee cart every Friday! It is so successful and a wonderful experience for kids and staff. Just if this is helpful at all.. I know the teacher in my classroom was able to apply for a grant within our school system to pay for the coffee supplies, the cups, the actual coffee, creamers, etc… and then charges $1-$2 or whatever you would want to charge a coffee for staff member to put back into the program. Our kids are elementary level so they get paid with fake money to use at the classroom store lol. Also we use a keurig for hot coffee and it works great for safety! Keep up the great work Glo💖☕️

We do a coffee cart with our kiddos at my school too! We do hot coffee by using a Keurig, then we have a bunch of different creamers people we can choose from when they order!

LOVE the idea of a whole money system in a self contained room!! I teach a kindergarten low incidence/self contained unit and I love thinking about where my kids will be in high school.

I love this!! I was a long term sub in a SPED extended learning program (kids 18-22) and they did something similar with a classroom cafe! They made muffins using packaged mix, smoothies, etc. it was great for staff & other students to come visit and the kids did all the prep, serving & grocery shopping for it!

Don’t forget to ask your school cafeteria about using their ice to cut down on expenses! It also gives your students the chance to interact with more adults on your campus to obtain materials! Sending all the luck from a fellow high school special education teacher!

Yes yay glo! We love our coffee shop - we offer punch passes and gift cards for staff to buy each other too. All our device users have a coffee cart page too! Makes it easier for them to know what to say during delivery time. Proud of you for getting it in your building!
