Four signs you are drifting away from God, and you may not even realize it. First, you no longer hunger for God’s Word. Your Bible has not been opened for a long time. Your prayers are becoming fewer. You think you are just busy, but your soul is starving. The Lord Jesus said: “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4, KJV Without God’s Word, a person may continue living, but may not truly have life. Second, you begin to tolerate the sin that once made you weep. Before, when you sinned, you felt sorrow. You felt fear. You quickly returned to God. But now, you explain it, justify it, and even get used to it. The Bible reminds us to lay aside the sin which so easily besets us.（see Hebrews 12:1) Do not let habitual sin slowly make your heart cold. Third, you look for peace everywhere, but not before God. You scroll videos. You listen to advice. You fill yourself with many things, but your heart is still restless. God says: “Turn ye unto me, and I will turn unto you.” Zechariah 1:3, KJV True peace is not found in the world. It is found before God. Fourth, you no longer feel the need to pray. You live your life as usual. You plan your days as usual. But you speak to God less and less. The Bible says: “Pray without ceasing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:17, KJV Without prayer, the heart slowly becomes cold, and the relationship with God grows distant. If these words reminded you, please do not ignore them. This is not to condemn you. It is to remind you: It is time to return to God. The Lord Jesus is coming soon. This world is making people’s hearts grow colder and colder. But God is still calling people to repent, stay awake, and prepare themselves.
