Maybe look into some potential QC ETF plays in the meantime?

The real point of quantum computing is to resolve problems that are impossible to resolve with normal computers, and in fact, we can already do an insane amount of work with normal computers, so quantum computers will only have limited usage, that is not very relevant for the normal person, which means that we wouldn't need a lot of quantum computer to satisfy the demand. So, since we can use the cloud to communicate the results they provide, we can actually be satisfied with quantum computers that need to be cooled. In my opinion, quantum as a service is a much more realistic vision than replacing every normal computer by a quantum one. If we follow that logic, the thing people who will want to use quantum computers will be looking for the most will be their precision. They will want quantum computers to do the l'ouest amount of errors, and the ones that will make the fewest will be the most expensive ones to rent. Currently, the most precise quantum computer In the world is the one that belongs to IONQ, and since they are using a very unique technique to power it, they could have the monopoly for a long time. All that leads me to the conclusion that IONQ is the best quantum stock on the market

INFQ uses lasers that make the qubits stay at room temperature.

Isnt the cooling to 0 kelvin the foundation of controlling the qbits?

only concerning part is the biggest companies like Google and IBM are the ones still using cooling. still possible that extreme cooling is what improves and leads

I think it’s important to understand what the effective platforms of quantum computing currently are. Most systems that are operational today are superconducting qubits requiring cooling. Maybe your concern comes with them using Helium but a lot of them are closed cycle so the Helium consumption is relatively low, compared to the energy cost of the system. Also whilst the computer analogy is fair, I would say with AI it would seem we are moving towards industrial scale warehouses of data centers with much of the compute done off the consumer level device, even though superconducting systems require a lab-type setup, this is what we are seeing with these AI companies.

also I think before quantum computing leads, quantum cybersecurity will. this is why some quantum ETFs hold large amounts of post-quantum cryptographic companies

I love your thought path on this, but you seem to want to skip to the end, and pick the one that dominates, after they have competed in the market...thats super tough. I think there will be different leaders over time. First to market, will surely grab the ring, and dominate early... Then the one that emerges as least cost, will take over for a while. Finally the one that is least relative cost, coupled with best run company, and best back end infrastructure, will thrive above all others. So I don't think there is any one right answer, at this point... Super interesting diligence...many thanks
