Sharing a trick I learned with other ddv players. You can summon characters to you by using the camera. Open the camera and click the ZL button (left) and select a character. Turn visual on and close the camera. You can't summon characters in their houses, Scrooge shop, Remy or Tiana's restaurant. Sometimes characters can get stuck summoning them this way. If this happens, open the camera again and they will walk towards it. That will fix it.
