Even as a kid, ive always preferred Single Player games. I rarely play multiplayer games. And when I do, its stuff like Mario kart or smash with my friends.

its interesting for me as i grow old, I'm playing more competitive games than single players. I still love Single player games but i simply don't have the time to invest in some of the single players games especially games that have a long open world and long hours.

I mean the real answer to this is to just find a solid mix you like personally. And I mean yes PvP games can be frustrating, however I also will say that I have had some of the absolute most fun experiences with random people on those games. But also yes, sometimes I wanna sit back and play my 8th cyberpunk playthrough

when I was 3 year old I only had access to single player games, I was born into it, literally. always felt right, super happy to have my single player games over multiplayer

metagaming made massive gap between casual player and tryhard. there are also lots of trolls that ruin the experience for everyone. multiplayer games became too toxic of a space to "relax" in :)
