Today, I am presenting some photographs from the 2017 crisis. Whenever I look at these pictures, I cannot control my emotions. They remind me of the suffering, pain, and struggles that our people have endured for generations. We experienced similar hardships in 1992, and sadly, history repeated itself. I often ask myself: Will there ever be a sincere and capable leader among the Rohingya people who can unite us and guide us toward a better future? Why do we keep talking about our work and our responsibilities? Because I believe that if we all worked together with one purpose, perhaps we would not have remained in Bangladesh for so many years. Even while living here, why do ordinary people continue to face so much hardship and oppression? We should remember the sacrifices and struggles of those who came before us. People from other communities often unite to protect their homeland, support one another, and work together for the future of their nation. Unfortunately, we still do not always share the same commitment and unity. If we all had the same mindset and determination, perhaps we would not be facing so many dangers today. Look at these photographs. They show immense suffering, pain, and crisis. Yet ordinary people continue to bear the burden. No nation can survive like this forever. We are human beings with hopes, dreams, and families. We work hard to protect our loved ones, educate our children, and build a better future. I believe we must pay special attention to children and young people who have lost their parents or who are growing up without a father or mother. They deserve the opportunity to live with dignity, receive an education, and grow as human beings. Giving them that chance is our responsibility. Sadly, hatred, jealousy, and division still exist among us. While these problems continue, ordinary people suffer the most. We cannot live like this forever. Our dream is to return to Myanmar with dignity and peace. But wherever we are, we must learn from the example of communities that work together for their country, support one another, and put the common good above personal interests. Let these photographs remind us of our past, our struggles, and our responsibility to build a better future together.
