slight butter on bottom of tile wouldn’t hurt either gives better bond to mud on the wall either way ways to make it stable this video is a joke

And having swirls instead of a straight pull helps align air pockets for a stable cure. And if you don’t understand I’m talking about the mud and with backsplash installed right you could get away with a v trowel vs 1/4 trowel

Pieces connected to the inner pieces have no mud will have air pockets and tile could easily break like glass

Also no mud on the schulter piece which also creates problems I don’t even see anything holding it guaranteed to pull straight out from under the tile staples work well or screwed into place
