Finally! People are talking about the SGL (Solar Gravitational Lens) telescope! Some of my PhD work was on this! It’s such a cool idea! And it’s actually feasible. Extremely difficult, but we can do it. The trick is getting multiple satellites out to 550 AU in a reasonable amount of time. But the Parker Solar probe showed us that a really tight slingshot around the Sun is possible. That coupled with solar radiation propulsion could get us out there in 20-40 years. It’s doable!

I think with Starship’s 100 ton capacity. We should create a massive 400 ton telescope that would come together in space in four huge pieces. Built specifically for viewing exoplanets.
