It drives me crazy. They spent so much time in Abigail trying to hide the fact that the little girl was a vampire yet it’s the main part of the trailers and it’s her as a vampire in all the promo pics. It’s like the advertising company had no contact with the people who made the film.

They really could’ve pulled a fast one on us he literally has never played a bad guy and the movie doesn’t have that type of vibe in the beginning they dropped the ball tremendously

they did this with that hugh grant horror film , all the marketing was about how he plays a villain for the first time etc etc so it took allllll the suspense away from the start of the movie with the scented candle and all that stuff

Ideally I think a trailer should give you the general vibe of the movie but give minimal plot details. It's like studios don't trust us to figure out the movie when we get there.

i’ve resorted to not watching trailers and just taking a leap of faith based on directors/actors that i know to be good or a premise that i find new/interesting. trailers give too much away and i can predict the ending five minutes in!!
